Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte is an original Light Novel written by Enoshima Suzu & illustrated by Eihi. It was serialized by Kadokawa and was published from April 10, 2019, to August 9, 2019. It finished and has 2 volumes and 47 chapters.
The series also has a manga adaptation of the same title that is published online on B’s-LOG COMIC from June 25th, 2019. It is illustrated by Sakaki Rumiwo, and the manga just published its 4th volume and is still running.
The light novel was a huge hit and has sold more than 500,000 copies in print & has ranked among the top light novels in the Bunkobon category in the 2020 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! Rankings. As a result, Kadokawa has announced an anime adaptation of Endo and Kobayashi on its official website.
Plot
The story follows two teenagers named Endo & Kobayashi, who are part of the broadcast club in their high school. Kobayashi comes across an Otome game and forces Endo to play it too. Though Endo doesn’t know that game would leave his heart shattered in pieces. Both of them feel bad for the villainess Liselotte, who is a tsundere and loves her fiance Siegward – the crown prince of the kingdom. She is gentle & kind in the heart but her words always get the best of her.
In the end, she is possessed by an evil witch and meets her demise. But Endo & Kobayashi decide to play the game again, but this time they lay out all their emotions as commentary. Their words reach Seigward, who thinks that these are the words of Gods. Now, these “high school gods” decide to save Liselotte’s life by telling the world what she keeps in her heart for others.
The series is a joyride, more or less, of Shoujo with some entertaining romance and high-quality comedy. The manga art was very beautiful and elaborate. So, the anime adaptation is also expected to be a banger as well.

The anime series is confirmed but there isn’t any update on which studio is producing the series. As a result, the cast & crew is also not confirmed at this time. The officials haven’t even revealed any key-visual either.
It is expected that the series will be a short anime series or a single season of 12 episodes. Therefore, the production will not take much time. Even if the cast and crew get sorted out, Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte will not release before the last quarter of 2022.
