One Room Season 4: Will Series Return Again? Possible Release Date
Short anime series have their own different fan base among otakus. Many cute stories like Tawawa on Monday, Senpai is Mine, Tsuzere Children, Akkun to Kannojo, etc., are examples of the short but wholesome series. One Room is one such short anime that won the hearts of many viewers around the world.
One Room’s idea was a bit peculiar but later it was liked by many viewers. So far, three seasons consisting of 12 episodes each & 3 OVAs have entertained fans. And now they are craving for a new full-fledged instalment in the form of One Room Season 4. So, will there be the fourth season of this show? Keep on reading to know.
Will There Be One Room Season 4?
Well, the series has done well overall, but its ratings are pretty low. It is only rated 5.8 on the MAL group by 35k members of its group. It wasn’t good enough for renewal. Though, for a short series with a runtime of 4-5 minutes, the show performed quite well. One Room is an original show as it didn’t follow any source material.
There isn’t any official announcement for the continuation or cancellation of the series from the side of the production studio. The same kind of situation arose back in 2018 before the renewal of the anime’s third instalment. Hence, there is a possibility that One Room Season 4 will get a renewal from the officials.
About One Room
One room is an original slice-of-life anime series animated by Typhoon graphics and produced by SMIRAL. Takashi Sakuma directed the series and Eiji Mano served as the writer. The anime was created in a first-person narrative style, in which the whole story progresses from the POV of the main character.
The first 12 episodes of the series aired from January 11th, 2017 to March 29th, 2017 along with 3 OVAs released on May 26th, 2017.
The second & third season was produced by a different studio named Zero-G and was directed by Shinichiro Ueda. One Room’s second season aired from July 2nd, 2018 to September 25th, 2018, whereas the third season ran from October 5th to December 2020.
One Room had followed 2 different routes of two couples so far. The characters and story changed every time with each instalment but they all follow the same plot of falling in love as a roommate. The anime had many emotional pinches and hilarious moments. It is also packed with soothing sweet & sour stories. So, there is a possibility that One Room Season 4 will also come up with new characters and new stories with the sole purpose of entertaining us.
One Room Season 4: Release Date
Eiji has always surprised everyone as a writer. He kept the essence of the series in all three seasons. Now, the fans are again expecting some wonderful storylines from him. One room got its 3rd season two years after the release of its second season. Hence there is still a possibility for the renewal of One Room Season 4. The announcement of the next season can take place anytime in 2022, and if this happens, then the new season will come out in 2023.
