That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Returns for Season 3
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or Tensura anime series has been announced to return with season 3.
The announcement came at the advanced screening of the franchise’s first movie, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond. The movie will premiere on 25th November 2022 in Japan.
The official Twitter handle also shared the news with the visual illustrated by Mitz Vah, where Hinata Saguchi(Girl in the white robe) seems to face Rimuru. It is now expected that season 3 might premiere in Fall 2023 or Winter 2024 anime slot.
The news about the cast, staff, and premiere is not revealed yet. Studio 8-Bit studio has been producing the anime adaptation of the television series and movie. So, it’s highly likely for the studio to produce the third season too.
The third season might continue with the canon anime and will adapt from manga chapter 87 and the 7th Volume of LN.
Tensura is an original light novel by Fuse, it has been published first in Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2013 then later in Micro Magazine in 2014, and has published 20 volumes. The series got a manga adaptation and began serialization in Kodansha’s shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Sirius on March 26th, 2015.
