New Trailer Released for The Slam Dunk Movie
New trailer for the Slam Dunk movie was revealed on Toei’s official Youtube channel on 4th November 2022.
The new trailer was unveiled during a special program ongoing on the channel. The Shohoku members can be seen competing fiercely throughout the trailer. There was also an announcement during the special program, which includes ;
- Shugo Nakamura as Ryota Miyagi
- Jun Kasama as Hisashi Mitsui
- Shinichiro Kamio as Kaede Rukawa
- Subaru Kimura as Hanamichi Sakuragi
- Kenta Miyake as Takenori Akagi
The opening theme for the movie will be performed by the Birthday and the ending theme “Zero Sensation” will be performed by 10-FEET. The movie will be released on December 3rd 2022 in Japan.
The First Slam Dunk movie is being directed and scripted by mangaka Takahiko Inoue himself at Toei Animation. A teaser trailer for the movie was revealed on July 7, 2022. The crew members for the movie are as below:

- and technical directors – Katsuhiko Kitadani, Naoki Miyahara, Toshio Ōhashi, Yū Kamatani.
- CG Director -Daiki Nakazawa
- CG producer – Yūta Ogura.

- Sound director – Yota Tsuruoka is directing the sound with Koji Kasamatsu.
Two special books are to be released as supportive material for the movie. 24 selected chapters from the manga’s 276 total chapters, which form the basis of the movie’s plot, will be included in the first book, SLAM DUNK JUMP. The book will be made available on November 8, 2022.
The movie’s fundamental tenets are contained in and examined in the second book, THE FIRST SLAM DUNK re:SOURCE, which is referred to as a specialized book. It also has a lengthy interview and illustrations produced by Inoue throughout the film’s creation. The book will be released on December 15, 2022.
