On August 1, 2021, the official anime adaptation of the series was announced on the official Twitter page of the series. Madhouse Studios will be animating the series, which is directed by Yuzo Sato. The main cast of the series was revealed in the trailer of Police in a Pod, in which Shion Wakayama can be seen as Mai Kawaii & Yui Ishikawa as Seiko Fuji. The animation looks marvelous & both actors are truly making the characters alive in the trailer.
Police in a Pod is set to air its first episode on January 5, 2022. So, it is only a few more weeks and the fans will finally witness its premiere episode.

Police in a Pod or Hakozume: Koban Joshi no Gyakushuu is an original comedy manga written and illustrated by Miko Yasu. It was first published on November 22, 2017, by Kodansha. The series is still proceeding and already has a total of eighteen volumes. The manga had 2.3 million copies sold as of August 2021.
The series was a huge hit among fans, and it also won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category in 2021. In the same year, Police in a Pod manga was also nominated in the general category for the 45th Kodansha Manga Award. It was definitely a golden year for this manga as it was placed #23 on Da Vinci magazine’s “Book of the Year” list for 2021.

Police in a Pod follows the tale of a girl named Mai Kawai. She is a female police officer who isn’t fond of her job and was about to resign from it. However, she met the new female director of her station Seiko Fuji. After spending some time with Seiko Fuji, Kawai realizes that she wasn’t giving her all as an officer. As a result, she decided to continue her job, and a tale of unexpected gags and cases started.
