One Piece: Red Becomes 9th Highest Grossing Movie in Japan!

One Piece: Red anime movie continues to make records in its theatrical run as it has taken the spot of the 9th highest-grossing movie of all time in Japan.

One Piece Red has surpassed both Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Bayside Shakedown 2, after crossing about 17.356 billion yen(about 116.1 million USD) with 12.5 million ticket sale as of 23rd October 2022. With his performance, it has become the 6th highest-grossing anime movie of all time.

The movie premiered on 6th August 2022, in Japan and has set the record for the franchise after becoming the highest-selling and earning movie for the Toei production. It has also set a record after selling the most tickets and money earned at the box office of the One Piece franchise.

The studio has also released an official dub Hindi of Red movie in India earlier this month. Crunchyroll is ready to stream the movie in United States and Canada from 4th November onwards. and in Australia and New Zealand from 3rd November.

Crunchyroll earlier held a subtitled premiere on the first day of New York Comic-con 2022 on 6th October. English Dub premiere was in Los Angeles on 22nd October at GKIDS, Annecy, and Variety magazine’s Animation Is Film Festival.
