Jump Festa 2022: All The Important Announcements
Every anime fan around the world wishes to visit Japan once to attend the Grand carnival of anime lovers- The Jump Festa – which is sponsored by Shueisha. This two-day-long fest is an integral part of Japanese pop culture and can be considered as Japan’s Comic-Con. It first began in 1999 and since then it has been taking place every single year. This year the fest was held at Makuhari Messe Event Hall, Chiba Japan.
Many official franchises & circles joined the fest, with their merchandise, concerts, meet-up, signing event,s, and much more exciting stuff. However, that’s not the only thing Jump Festa is famous for. Countless fans look forward to getting updates on their favorite series, anime adaptations, movie announcements, and many more things.
Many studios also use this fest’s stages to gain the spotlight, & give their creation a popularity boost. This year’s Jump Festa began on December 18 and ended on December 19.

Jump Festa 2022 Day 1 Announcements
- World’s End Harem
An announcement was made that World’s End Harem’s second part would be published & cast talk shows will be held online on December 30th, 2022.
- Chainsaw Man
A New PV of “Chainsaw Man ” was released. It was also revealed that the second part of the original manga is scheduled to start its serialization in 2022 in Jump+ magazine. The anime based on “Chainsaw Man” is also scheduled to start broadcasting in 2022.
- Platinum End
The Original themes for the “Platinum End” second part have been revealed as “Blank Pretend” and “Last Slow.”
- BLEACH
Long-awaited news for the BLEACH fans has finally arrived. Bleach’s Thousand-Year Blood War Arc is set to be aired on TV Tokyo from October 2022. Not only that but the first official PV has also been released.
- New Prince of Tennis
The cast of the American representative of the TV anime “New Prince of Tennis” was announced. A new TV anime logo was also released. The Theatrical version “Ryoma! The Prince of Tennis” will be released on March 30, 2022.
- Yu-Gi-Oh!
Yu-Gi-Oh! has confirmed that its eighth series, Yu-Gi-Oh! Go, Rush!! is in production, along with the announcement of the staff for the series.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Go, Rush!! will premiere in April of 2022.
- SPY x FAMILY
During the fest, the announcement for the cast of one of the most-anticipated anime, “SPY x FAMILY” was made. It has been revealed that Atsumi Tanezaki will play Anya, and Saori Hayami will play the character of Yor.
The 2nd PV of SPY x Family was released, and the release window of this anime was revealed to be April 2022.
- DRAGON BALL Super Super Hero Movie
The cast for the Theatrical version “Dragon Ball Super Super Hero” movie was announced with a PV. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 22, 2022.
- BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Naruto Series, a special commemorative episode was released. The manga adaptation of the spin-off novel adaptation of Naruto will be serialized in Jump+ in 2022 titled “NARUTO-Konoha Shinden Yusumi Ninpocho.”
- Aharen-san wa Hakarenai
The first official PV of the anime adaptation of “Aharen-san wa Hakarenai” was released, along with a release window of April 2022.
- Ayakashi Triangle
The most anticipated anime adaptation for the Ayakashi Triangle was announced.

14. Jujutsu Kaisen
The final PV of the movie “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” was released, “Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade” app opening announcement was made.
15. Dr.STONE
A special episode titled “Dr.STONE Ryusui” will premiere in the summer of 2022 & an announcement was made that the third season of “Dr. STONE” is set to air in 2023.
16. My Hero Academia
A new PV for the anime “My Hero Academia Season 6” was revealed. It was also announced that the series will return in Fall 2022.
17. Summertime Render
The official PV for the anime adaptation of “Summertime Render” was released. This anime is also scheduled for April 2022.
18. Jigokuraku: Hell’s Paradise
The stage performance of “Hell’s Paradise” will be decided in the Fall of 2022. The first PV for the anime adaptation also came out and it has been revealed that the anime is being produced by MAPPA Studio.
19. Black Clover
An open-world Black Clover game was announced for 2022, along with the PV of the “Black Clover” movie.
20. Rurouni Kenshin
Studio Liden Films released a teaser PV for its new project titled Rurouni Kenshin.
Jump Festa To Become “Jump Navi”
The above 20 announcements summed up the Jump Festa 2022. However, in the ending moments, an announcement was made that surprised everyone. “Jump Festa NAVI”, which was used as the official website/app of Jump Festa, will be renewed as “Jump NAVI” next year onwards.
The officials are planning to make it conventional & easy to use. Many new things will be added to the old app and website. One doesn’t have to delete the previous version of the app as it will be updated shortly, and the whole update will be made in Spring 2022.
