Gridman x Dynazenon New Crossover Movie Announced
Kaiju’s vs Mecha is an anime classic, and the fandom of this genre never ceases to increase. Once in a while, a new show with different settings and characters hits the screens, but the fans always demand more. The setting is so popular that even Hollywood has its own Mecha vs Kaiju movies like Pacific Rim.
But nothing can beat the original, and what’s better than the very own classic getting a remake with some more new modern tech & new exciting fights. The Gridman x Dynazenon movie has been announced recently, and it has taken the excitement of the fans on a whole new level. The announcement was made on December 13, 2021, on the official Twitter account of the series.

Gridman x Dynazenon: Promotional Video
The makers recently released a promotional video for the Gridman x Dynazenon movie. It has only been a day since its release, and the video has already crossed 148K views. Fans can see some great & high-quality visuals of both Gridman and Dynazenon in the video. The background music of the PV is also very intense, and it seems like it is announcing the commencement of a war. Studio and the staff are also introduced, and PV ends with both Mechas coming together. This 1 min 20 sen clip manages to increase the hype for this movie even more, and now they are looking forward to its theatrical release.
Manga & Anime Of The Series
Gridman was originally produced as a television show titled Denkou Choujin Gridman, aka Gridman The Hyper gent by Tsuburaya production. It had 39 episodes that aired in 1993-94. Later, an anime adaptation, which was the remake of the original series, was also announced. It was directed by Akira Amemiya & written by Keiichi Hasegawa. It was a collaboration between two studios, Tsuburaya and Trigger, titled SSSS. Gridman & SSSS.Dynazenon.
The anime series was released in two parts with both series sharing the same universe with each one having 12 episodes. The first part is named SSSS. Gridman aired from October 7th to December 23rd, 2018. The second part was titled SSSS. Dynazenon and ran from April 2nd to June 18th, 2021. Gridman also had several spinoff manga series, out of which two are still being published in Media Factory & Shueisha.
Staff & Cast Of The Movie
Not much has changed when it comes to the creators of the upcoming Gridman x Dynazenon movie. The official site reveals that Trigger is producing the movie, and Akira Amemiya is directing it. While Masaru Sakamoto is looking over the character design, its music is by Sagisu Shiro. There haven’t been any more updates on the staff so we don’t know if previous anime staff will work in the movie or not.

Gridman x Dynazenon: Plot Details
In the previous series, Gridman followed Yuta Hibiki, a high school student suffering from amnesia. One day Yuta finds an old computer in which the Hyper Agent Gridman is in the form of a program. Gridman gives Yuta a mission to save the city with aid from mysterious friends of Gridman who can transform into weapons that Gridman can use in battle against Kaijus, who are huge mysterious monsters.
Similarly, the Dynozenon story is set up in the same world where Yomogi Asanaka, an average high school student, meets Gauma, a young guy who claims to be a “Kaiju User.” When a kaiju attacks the city, Gauma summons the massive robot Dynazenon to fight. During the conflict, Yomogi, his classmate Yume Minami, and local NEET Koyomi Yamanaka become Gauma’s Dynazenon copilots. They must work together to figure out who is behind the kaiju assaults and put a stop to it.
Both series were from Mecha-Action, and now we are getting a crossover movie featuring both characters. Hence, fans might see some amazing connection between Gridman & Dynazenon. Also, if both are in the same movie, there has to be the strongest and humongous Kaijus waiting to destroy everything as well. But the movie announcement has come as quite a shock because both prior series had a satisfying end which saw the protagonists completing their missions, and the new movie is hinting that this wasn’t the end of Kaiju’s terror.
Gridman x Dynazenon: Release Date
The release date of the movie will probably be announced with the release of the first trailer of the series that will likely come in January. As of now, there hasn’t been any announcement regarding the date. But, fans can expect to see the premiere of Gridman x Dynazenon in mid-2022.
